About Us and Goodwin Creek Gardens

At Goodwin Creek Gardens, we grow the plants that we sell. We specialize in herbs, lavenders, scented pelargoniums, everlasting flowers and fragrant plants. We also include a large number of Native American species. We want to emphasize that these native plants are not dug up in the wild, but are all propagated in our nursery.

We have shared our gardens with animals great and small, though occasionally they do seem to go a bit too far. One year a plague of voles was almost our undoing; another year we battled bears. But having animals in the garden is perhaps our greatest pleasure. We offer a wide variety of plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies and hope that your appreciation of these creatures will heighten your enthusiasm for all others.

We work very hard to provide our customers not only with high quality plants, but ones that have been grown in a conscientious and environmentally friendly manner. All of our plants are grown with organic soil ingredients, organic fertilizers and (though seldom needed) organic pesticides.

Though we have been growing plants at Goodwin Creek Gardens for nearly 30 years, every year brings us new surprises. Our hope is to share with you the excitement and wonderment we get from gardening. We know you will find many joys and surprises that will delight both your hearts and your flower beds.
