This French lavender candicans is similar to French lavender, Lavandula dentata, but the growth is denser and the leaves more silvery grey. It will bloom nearly all year if given enough light and warmth. 'Goodwin Creek Grey' and all the varieties of French lavender are the best choices for a winter blooming indoor lavender. They need about 5 hours of sunlight each day for winter bloom; a south facing window, sun room or sun porch should provide enough light. It is our favorite lavender for making topiary standards.
